Strada Bianche cycling artwork print

This illustration artwork celebrates the Strada Bianche, a road bicycle race in Tuscany, Central Italy, starting and finishing in Siena. It was first held in 2007. The name Strada Bianche stems from the historic white gravel roads in the Crete Senesi, which are a defining feature of the race and famously create big dust clouds following the riders.

About Pencilface

Illustrator David Broadbent is the artist and creator behind Pencilface. Originally from the north of England, David now lives in Brighton and Hove with his wife and two children. David has been an illustrator for over 20 years and dedicates many of his wonderful illustrations to cycling, one of his avid hobbies. He has created editorial commissions for Cyclist magazine but also many other publications, including National Geographic, The Guardian, The Independent, Waitrose Food, Bloomsbury, Orion Publishing, Hachette, Ivy Press, Virgin, Oxford University Press, The New York Times, Rouleur Magazine, Grand Designs magazine, Quarto, Child's Play publishing and Londons Southbank Centre.
